American Osteopathic Association AOA OPPORTUNITIES - East KY
The East KY Family Medicine Residency Program (KY FMRP) is a community based, University-administered program accredited and approved for four residents in each post-graduate year.

The presence of the residency in the University of Kentucky Center for Excellence in Rural Health (UKCRH) offers a unique opportunity for multi-disciplinary education with a variety of health professionals and collaboration with community programs.

The Kentucky State Office of Rural Health is located at UKCRH and offers assistance to health professionals with student loan repayment.

Committed to the common vision of improving health to rural people, the faculty has implemented a well functioning curriculum that addresses the unique intricacies of rural medicine.

The UK North Fork Valley Community Health Center provides such services as health maintenance, treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, family planning, obstetrical and gynecological care, minor surgical procedures, dietary consultation, patient education, primary care counseling and dental care facilities.

Hazard is located in Perry County, on the north fork of the Kentucky River in southeastern Kentucky.

It is called Queen City of the Mountains because of the rolling hills, river valleys, and beautiful scenery.

Hazard gives its residents all the benefits of rural life—the security of a small town, with the easy access to larger cities.
